Ogres' are not known for their high level of intelligence but their great strength makes them valuable to city states as guards. They stand at around 9 feet tall and guard gates into many cities. Due to their great size, people rarely challenge the ogres to engage in battle. During times of war, ogres join armies to destroy cities and use their clubs to sweep large masses of soldiers to the ground. For the ogres work, they are paid in food, shelter, and weapons, coins hold no value to them. Even with many ogres work for cities, there are colonies of wild ogres that can be found in rocky areas as well as deep in forests. Those ogres keep to themselves and do not want to engage in the civilize world and keep their culture alive.
